The Stamina X AMRAP Rower is built to withstand intense workouts day after day. Dynamic air resistance adapts to your workout speed. Pull harder for more resistance; ease off for less. Further customize your workout by using the adjustable damper. Track your gains over time with the workout monitor and chest strap heart rate transmitter. During your session, the monitor displays distance and interval, time, total strokes/strokes per minute, meters per stroke, watts, calories and heart rate (by using the heart rate transmitter). A game mode adds even more fun and variability. Also, a cell phone bracket allows use of your own device during your workout.

So far I have had this machine for about a month and it’s been great. It feels just like a Concept 2 but at half the price. Assembly was a bit tricky, especially with the heavier parts, but manageable. I even bought some chain lubricant to keep everything running smoothly. The monitor is a little confusing at first—especially if you’re new—but I use my Garmin Vivoactive 3 to track heart rate and calories anyway. The included heart rate monitor didn’t connect for me, which was a small disappointment. Still, I’ve already lost 6 lbs and feel more motivated than ever. The build quality is solid, and I love that it comes with a phone holder—unlike the Concept 2, which charges extra for that!

This rower has completely changed my home workout routine. As someone who uses the Concept 2 at the gym regularly for CrossFit WODs, I was skeptical about how a home version would compare. But this Stamina AMRAP is not only comparable—it might even be tougher at the highest fan setting, which is where most of our workouts take place. I noticed a knocking sound during setup, and found a hex nut stuck in the fan. After removing it, the machine ran perfectly. Definitely recommend this for serious athletes looking for a reliable, challenging rower without breaking the bank.

I’ve owned other rowers before, including a $1,399 model, and this one blows them all away in terms of performance and value. The build quality is excellent and the warranty plus customer support are top-notch. I wish the monitor had Bluetooth capabilities though—I use a VR app that accepts rowing data and I’d love to sync this machine with it someday. There’s also a slight concern about the bungee cord resistance system. Time will tell how durable it is. Storage can be a bit of a challenge since it doesn’t fold, but overall this is a fantastic machine for the price.

I’m really impressed with the Stamina X AMRAP. Compared to the Concept 2, the rowing experience feels nearly identical. Some of the plastic parts feel a bit lighter, but nothing that affects performance. The seat actually feels more comfortable than the Concept 2, which is a nice bonus. I did notice the same issue as another reviewer—a hex nut stuck in the fan casing when I opened it up. Strange, but easy enough to remove. Once it was gone, the machine worked flawlessly. If you’re not competing or tracking drag factor, this is an amazing alternative.

After comparing several models, we went with the Stamina AMRAP mostly because it was available in Canada. Setup took about 75 minutes and was fairly straightforward thanks to clear instructions. The machine itself runs very quietly and feels sturdy. The computer screen offers a variety of training programs and even a fun “game” mode. One downside: there’s no memory function to store previous sessions, so you can’t easily compare progress over time. Also, separating the frame for storage isn’t as easy as the manual suggests. Overall, though, it’s a high-quality machine that punches well above its price range.

This rower is a solid alternative to the Concept 2. I’ve used both and honestly prefer the seat on the AMRAP. It’s comfortable and smooth through the stroke. My only gripe is the lack of drag factor calculation, which means times aren’t truly comparable across machines. For casual users, it’s not a big deal, but competitive athletes may miss that feature. Also, split times only show under certain conditions, which can be annoying during warmups. Bluetooth connectivity is missing too, which limits integration with fitness apps. Still, the machine is durable, quiet, and well-built. Great buy for recreational rowers!
